Nachleuchten by Anjali Janssens explores the family album as a site of collective and individual memory. In her photographic encounter with the family archive, the German-Indian artist allows familiar motifs to reemerge in new visual landscapes. This visual memory is complemented by her own photographs, documenting a life lived across different countries, relationships, and cultures. Through the interplay of found and personal imagery, a layered reinterpretation of the traditional family album emerges—a visual reflection on origin, memory, and identity.
